You're not wrong, exactly. It is still a "work in progress" that I believe we'll always be working on, no matter how it all turns out.

like pretty much sweeping Drift off of his feet and into Megatron's lap. that is a much better place for the white mech. surely Drift agrees. ]
It is somewhat rational, to a degree. Though I suspect that the fear played a larger role in the hasty decision. Does it really matter now?
